Well, May started off with all of us new offic ers keeping busy trying to learn our new jobs, and it’s been interesting. It will take a while but we’ll all get there. If you’ve been out to the Lodge and noticed the work being done in the front grassy area, it has been completed, and now we have a nice area for our Rings competitors to play. They’ll be able to play on cement and won’t have to worry about messy ground. It was finished just in time for the Memorial Day BBQ and the Summer League starting in June. I’d like to thank all of the volunteers who put it together and also to those who made monetary contributions. Everything is really appreciated. Our Memorial Day picnic was a huge success again. This was our one d ay a year we could invite the public and we hope to gain some new membe rs through this. There was something for everyone to do from kids to adults. I know we cooked a lot of food and the Women of the Moose supplied the salads and side dishes, which were great as usual. I can’t imagine that anyone went away hungry. July 4th is our next BBQ. Plan to bring the family out for that. It promises to be a fun day – games, food, good friends, and you’ll still have time to go watch the fireworks downtown. August 14 is the District Social at our Lodge again. This time it will be a picnic starting at Noon for the meeting, and 1:00 for the Social. It would be nice if we could have a lot of members come out to support our Lodge. Now, I’m putting on my ‘kitchen’ hat and am still looking for volunt eers to help in the kit chen or dining room. How about it? Thanks to those who have been helping over t he months. We couldn’t have done it without you. See you all at the Lodge. Bob Rogers, Governor

The last couple of months have definitely kept me on my toes. I want to thank all of you for your support and at times your ear. You are all so fantastic! In May we had Spa Day. It such a great day that we’re planning on doing it again in the fall. I want to thank Carole Aguirre for sprucing up everyone with a new “do”, Carole Dimicelli and Dona Lucas at the foot scrub station, Cindy “magic fingers” Wiegreff with massage and brand new member, Tennille Tahlser even brought out her massage chair. Pleasant atmosphere, lots of food, raffles and just a nice day period. Memorial Day picnic was a blast. You have to chalk it up to you ladies again for bringing scrumptious salads, sides and desserts. Thanks again for putting even more yummy food in our bellies. We started Summer League and are having a hoot! Thank you to Cindy Wiegreff for organizing this again. We all sure have a good time. July 10th we’re having a rummage sale. Please clean out your attic, garage, and closets and bring out those unwanted items. The proceeds will be applied to the finishing of the kids room. All of you folks with children will appreciate having a little adult time on Friday dinners and special events as a watchful eye are on the little ones for a while. And lastly, as mentioned by our Governor, please come out for our District Social on August 14th. Show your support by showing off our Lodge. It’s such a pretty setting and all of you members couldn’t be a nicer bunch of folks. See you soon, Kelly Johnson, Sr. Regent
